1. Who we are

Afrikana Best Sounds is an independent African music and digital culture project. It provides music discovery, YouTube playlists, Singles, Long Plays, Shorts, WebRadios and sharing features.

For privacy, legal or data protection requests, please use the official contact form available in the Afrikana Best Sounds application or on the website.

2. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to the Afrikana Best Sounds mobile application, Afrikana Radio services, the website app.afrikanabestsounds.com and related sharing pages.

3. Personal data collection

Afrikana Best Sounds does not require users to create an account and does not intentionally collect personal data through the mobile application.

The application is designed mainly for music discovery, WebRadio listening, playlist browsing, YouTube content access, MP3 downloads, favorites, listening history and sharing features.

Favorites, listening history, preferences and downloaded MP3 files are stored locally on the user's device. They are not sent to Afrikana Best Sounds servers and can be removed by clearing the app data or uninstalling the application.

When users share content, the application may generate or open a technical sharing link. Afrikana Best Sounds does not record private exchanges between users, does not store conversations between users and does not provide an in-app messaging system.

If a user chooses to contact Afrikana Best Sounds through a contact form or by email, the information provided voluntarily by the user is used only to answer the request.

4. How information is used

5. Local storage

The application may store favorites, listening history and preferences locally on the device. These elements generally remain on the device and can be removed by clearing the app data or uninstalling the application.

6. Third-party services

Afrikana Best Sounds may rely on third-party services such as YouTube, Google Play Services, AzuraCast, hosting providers, email delivery services and content delivery networks. These services may process data according to their own privacy policies.

7. YouTube content

The application and website display or link to content hosted on YouTube. When users interact with YouTube content, YouTube’s own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy may apply.

8. WebRadio services

WebRadio streams may process basic technical connection data for stability, security, capacity planning and troubleshooting.

9. Cookies and similar technologies

The website does not aim to use advertising cookies of its own. Embedded services, including YouTube, may use cookies or similar technologies according to their own policies.

10. Data retention

Information is kept only for as long as necessary to operate the service, answer requests, maintain security, troubleshoot incidents or comply with legal obligations.

11. Security

Reasonable technical and organizational measures are used to protect information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, loss or misuse. No Internet-based service can guarantee absolute security.

12. Your rights and data deletion requests

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or portability of your personal data where applicable.

Because the Afrikana Best Sounds mobile application does not require an account and stores favorites, listening history, preferences and downloaded MP3 files locally on the user's device, users can remove this local data by clearing the app data or uninstalling the application.

For any privacy or data deletion request related to information voluntarily sent through the contact form or by email, users may contact Afrikana Best Sounds through the official contact form or by email at faps@afrikanabestsounds.com.

13. GDPR

For users located in the European Union, relevant processing activities are handled in accordance with applicable GDPR requirements.

14. Changes

This Privacy Policy may be updated to reflect new features, technical changes, legal requirements or operational improvements.
